Free Fire MAX New Guns: M7, Skorp, RPK and Hawk — Prices, Where to Find Them and Every OB55 Weapon Change
Four new guns arrived on 1 October with a new recoil system, and every weapon class got a rebalance at the same time.
Garena's OB55 patch notes announced four new weapons for the Clash Squad season that started on 1 October 2026. Each one has its own firing style, and three of them use a new recoil system where the aim climbs upward as you fire instead of spreading out.
The four new guns at a glance
| Gun | Type | What it is good at |
|---|---|---|
| M7 | Assault rifle | High damage and accuracy at mid-to-long range. Recoil pulls upward, so either control it or use the climb to line up headshots |
| Skorp | SMG | High fire rate and armour penetration. Stays useful late in the match |
| RPK | Light machine gun | Machine-gun firepower with assault-rifle mobility. Works up close, and at range if you control recoil |
| Hawk | Sniper rifle | Only 2 rounds, but very high burst. Two quick hits can down an enemy in low-tier armour. Its reticle also rises when you fire quickly |
Where to find them in Battle Royale
| Gun | Where |
|---|---|
| M7 | Ground loot (rare), high-tier blue zones, arsenals |
| Skorp | Ground loot and Weapon Racks. It is also the default weapon after a Super Revival |
| RPK | Ground loot and Weapon Racks |
| Hawk | Ground loot and Weapon Racks |
Vending machine prices (Garena dates these to early October): M7 400 FF Coins (max 5 per match), Hawk 400 FF Coins (max 5 per match), Skorp 100 FF Coins (no limit). The AWM is now 600 FF Coins with a limit of 3 per match.

| Skorp | 1,500 |

The damage needed to upgrade upgradable weapons also changed, from 200 / 400 / 800 to 400 / 600 / 800.
How each weapon class changed
Garena says weapon classes did not have clear enough roles, so from 1 October it widened the differences between them:
- SMGs: much faster movement and shorter range. Built for close fights on the move.
- Shotguns: still the burst kings up close, and they reward good positioning and aim.
- Assault rifles: better accuracy at long range, with slightly slower reloads.
- Sniper rifles: slower to move with, but one good shot still ends fights.
- Marksman rifles: slower movement across the class. They keep high accuracy and armour penetration for quick follow-up shots.
- Machine guns: more damage and fire rate, less mobility. Damage is now the same standing or crouching, but crouching gives the best accuracy.
Every weapon change in OB55
The labels (buff, nerf, adjustment) are Garena's own. The changes went live on 1 October 2026. Where Garena lists numbered or lettered versions of a gun (for example MP5-I/II/III, M1887-X or AWM-Y), they get the same change. The AUG is the one exception, as noted in its row.

What the numbers suggest
These are readings of Garena's numbers, not results from our own matches:
- Rushers: almost every SMG trades range for movement, so the reworked SMGs and the new Skorp suit close fights on the move. Among SMGs, the UMP gets the biggest boost to movement while firing (+40%).
- Range players: the M7 and the buffed assault rifles are the safer choice. The Kingfisher gets the biggest accuracy jump (+21%).
- The M590 is a different gun now. Its range drops by a quarter, but its minimum damage more than doubles (+120%).
- Snipers and marksman rifles all move slower. Pick your position before you scope in.
- The Hawk is a high-skill sniper. Miss the second shot and you are reloading in the open.
