Garena's Free Fire x NARUTO SHIPPUDEN, Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes runs from 16 September to 15 October 2026. It brings back the first Naruto collaboration with a new character bundle, a new way to control Nine Tails and a bigger Hidden Leaf Village.

The big choice: Jiraiya or Hinata

For the first time in Free Fire, the grand prize is Pick-One. After completing the event missions you choose one of:

  • Jiraiya Bundle: the legendary Sannin and Naruto's mentor.
  • Hinata Bundle: new in this run, and Hinata Hyuga's first appearance in Free Fire. Garena says it was added because players asked for it after the first collaboration.

Garena also mentions a hidden interaction in the event screen inspired by Hinata's Twin Lion Fists and Byakugan.

Nine Tails in Battle Royale

According to Garena's OB55 patch notes, Nine Tails may do one of three things at the start of a match:

  • Hit the plane with a Tailed Beast Bomb and set it on fire. When the countdown ends, everyone is forced to eject.
  • Blast open the Arsenals, so you can grab high-tier loot without an Arsenal Key (Bermuda only).
  • Strike the ground and leave a crater full of loot (Bermuda only).

Sharingan: Control, the new way to use Nine Tails

In the middle of a match, Sharingan: Control appears on the map. Capture it and choose a target area:

  1. A danger warning shows over that area for 5 seconds.
  2. Nine Tails fires a Tailed Beast Bomb that deals 60 explosive damage to players within 100 m.
  3. Then 8–10 flame spots (each 4 m wide) appear for 5–10 seconds. They deal 5 damage every half-second, and a little more after you step out.

If you see the warning over your position, you have 5 seconds to get out of the area.

Every Ninjutsu skill card

You can pick these up in Battle Royale. The numbers are from Garena's OB55 notes.

Ninjutsu What it does
8 Trigrams Palm Rotation (new) Dash forward and spin a chakra shield for 2 s. It knocks enemies back, deals 50 damage, absorbs bullets and deflects some throwables
Fireball Jutsu Explodes for 30 damage in 4 m, then burns enemies and Gloo Walls for 5 damage a second for 5 s
Water Dragon Jutsu Explodes for 30 damage in 5 m and briefly blocks vision
Great Breach 30 damage in 4 m, slows enemies by 50% and cuts their fire rate by 20%
Rasengan Dash hit for 50 damage, slows the target by 50% and cuts their fire rate by 20%
Chidori Fast dash hit for 70 damage. For 3 s the target can't deploy Gloo Walls or use the minimap
Cherry Blossom Clash Dash hit for 25 damage that knocks the target back

Shuriken and Kunai

Shuriken and kunai return as secondary weapons:

Weapon What it does
Light Shuriken Made for close range. Throws 3 shurikens in a row (17–28 damage each). Another mode throws all 3 at once
Heavy Shuriken Made for mid range. One fast shuriken for 30–60 damage
Fiery Kunai Explodes after a short delay for 50–80 damage within 5 m, then burns for 10 damage and 10% armour durability a second for 3 s
Lightning Kunai Explodes after a short delay. Enemies hit can't use throwables or the minimap for 3 s
Wind Kunai Explodes after a short delay and slows enemies by 20–50% for 3 s, more at the centre

Damage from shurikens drops off beyond a certain distance.

More collaboration changes in Battle Royale

  • Gamakichi Summoning. Summoning scrolls appear across the map. Interact with one to summon Gamakichi for battle supplies.
  • Reanimation Revival Points. While your squad captures a Revival Point, stone coffins rise from the ground. Fallen teammates come back from the coffins instead of parachuting in, with brief protection and revival supplies.
  • Ninja Academy and the swing. The Hidden Leaf Village now has the Ninja Academy, with its classrooms and the Chunin Written Exam Room. According to Garena's OB55 patch notes, using the swing in front of it gives a permanent 5% movement speed boost. The Hidden Leaf Village is also the default pre-match waiting area on all maps.

Clash Squad gets a ninja makeover too

  • Ninjutsu and kunai are on sale in the CS Store.
  • In the first round, pistols are replaced by shurikens.
  • Ninjutsu Scroll Airdrops replace Cyber Airdrops.
  • The Hidden Leaf Village joins the CS map pool.

Other rewards to collect

  • Tsunade's Cloak
  • Gaara's Tattoo Facepaint
  • Kakashi's ANBU Black Ops Mask
  • Froggy Wallet elimination crate
  • Sasuke Voicepack: the official Free Fire India YouTube channel says you earn it by completing missions where you rack up damage or land headshots
  • Returning bundles inspired by Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and other characters

The music is back too. Blue Bird plays while you parachute, and the NARUTO Main Theme is the lobby music.
